Product Description

When I noticed this wine in Eric Asimov's Cru Beujolais column this week, I decided to take action. I haven't had it yet, but boy do I trust Mr. Joe Dressner. Look forward to taking it out for a test drive Saturday. God bless Eric Asimov for staying on the Cru Beaujolais soap box and raising awareness of these killer wines.

The NY Times' wine panel tasted 20 2007 Cru Beaujolais and ranked Clos du Fief No. 2.

Michel Tête Domaine du Clos du Fief Juliénas 2007 *** ½

"Dense yet elegant with lovely aromas and flavors of fruit, iron and granite."

For more on Tete see his profile on the Louis/Dressner Selections website.

Btw, their top ranked 2007 Cru Beaujolais was the Cote du Brouilly from Jean-Paul Brun, a wine that we may get in the next few weeks. I hope! In the meantime, we still have a bit of JP Brun's fantastic declassified 2007 "Beaujolais" called L'Ancien. Check it out: Jean-Paul Brun Terres Dorees L'Ancien 2007
